"Softly he brushed my cheek, then held my face between his marble hands. 'Be very still,' he whispered, as if I wasn't already frozen. Slowly, never moving his eyes from mine, he leaned toward me. Then abruptly, but very gently, he rested his cold cheek against the hollow at the base of my throat."
As Shakespeare knew, love burns high when thwarted by obstacles. In Twilight, an exquisite fantasy by Stephenie Meyer, readers discover a pair of lovers who are supremely star-crossed. Bella adores beautiful Edward, and he returns her love. But Edward is having a hard time controlling the blood lust she arouses in him, because--he's a vampire. At any moment, the intensity of their passion could drive him to kill her, and he agonizes over the danger. But, Bella would rather be dead than part from Edward, so she risks her life to stay near him, and the novel burns with the erotic tension of their dangerous and necessarily chaste relationship.

BELLA SWAN has always been a little bit different. Never one to run with the crowd, Bella never cared about fitting in with the trendy, plastic girls at her Phoenix, Arizona high school. When her mother remarried and sent Bella to live with her father in the rainy little town of Forks, Washington, she didn't expect much of anything to change. But things do change when she meets the mysterious and dazzlingly beautiful EDWARD CULLEN. For Edward is nothing like any boy she's ever met. He's nothing like anyone she's ever met, period. He's intelligent and witty, and he seems to see straight into her soul. In no time at all, they are swept up in a passionate and decidedly unorthodox romance — unorthodox because Edward really isn't like the other boys. He can run faster than a mountain lion. He can stop a moving car with his bare hands. Oh, and he hasn't aged since 1918. Like all vampires, he's immortal. That's right — VAMPIRE. But he doesn't have fangs — that's just in the movies. And he doesn't drink human blood, though Edward and his family are unique among vampires in that lifestyle choice.
To Edward, Bella is that thing he has waited 90 years for — a soul mate.
But the closer they get, the more Edward must struggle to resist the primal pull of her scent, which could send him into an uncontrollable frenzy.
Somehow or other, they will have to manage their unmanageable love. But what will they do when LAURENT and JAMES, the Cullens' mortal vampire enemies, come to town, looking for Bella?
Based on the #1 New York Times Bestselling series by Stephenie Meyer, Twilight is a cultural phenomenon, with a fanatic fanbase that eagerly awaits this movie. Critically acclaimed director Catherine Hardwicke brings to life this modern, visual, and visceral Romeo and Juliet story of the ultimate forbidden love affair — between vampire and mortal. --© Summit Entertainment

Twilight Final Trailer in HD
ok now that you've seen the final trailer, here are some survival guide to Twilight Movie, its better armed and ready when you watch the movie.
Isabella Swan (Played by Kristen Stewart) One of the most important characters in the Twilight series is none other than Bella Swan. While she has no preternatural powers, she is a typical teen who has to endure the many biases and prejudices of today’s society. Getting thrown into the dark and chaotic world of vampires when she falls in love with one of them (Edward Cullen) makes it doubly hard for Bella to come to terms with life.
But Bella has one thing going for her - love. As Ms. Meyer explains, Bella is someone who is more open at heart, quite the romantic type and not like herself actually (she is more pragmatic and realistic.).
Bella is an every girl. She's not a hero, and she doesn't know the difference between Prada and whatever else is out there. She doesn't always have to be cool, or wear the coolest clothes ever. She's normal. And there aren't a lot of girls in literature that are normal. Another thing is that Bella's a good girl, which is just sort of how I imagine teenagers, because that's how my teenage years were,” says the author.
In a way, it was Ms. Meyer’s intention to portray Bella as simply as that - someone who might be considered a wimp. But once you get over the issues of physical clumsiness and so on, you will agree that Bella is also a courageous and fearless human being. How could she even imagine marrying a vampire if she is a spineless teenager? How could she be a weakling when she deals with both werewolves and vampires? While critics may question the seemingly impossible transformation of a wimpy girl into a romantic heroine, is it really that hard to believe? Vampires are fictitious characters in the first place, isn’t it? This is supposedly a fantasy-romance novel right? So why all the fuss?
Kristen Stewart is one of cinema’s most exciting and sought-after young actresses. However, her talent as a lead actress has yet to be proven. If previous performances are a measure of how well she can act and deliver, then she is on her way to the top. She made five movies in 2007 including one of last year’s best movies, Into The Wild, where she played a shy country folk singer who fell in love with the movie’s lead, Emile Hirsch. This year, she also took part in five movies, including awesome roles in Yellow Handkerchief and Adventureland. Her role as Bella Swan is definitely Kristen’s most important role to date.
I'm very excited to have Kristen Stewart play Bella in the upcoming Twilight movie. She's an amazing actress with experience all across the board—action, horror, comedy, romance, and more. Since Twilight has moments that fit into every one of these genres, I'm thrilled to have a Bella who has practice with them all. Summit's vision of the Twilight movie continues to dovetail very closely with mine, and I'm comforted to know that my "baby" is in the right hands.

Edward Cullen (Played by Robert Pattinson): Is a vampire and was born on June 20, 1901 in Chicago, Illinois. He is forever a 17-year-old young man. While dying of the Spanish influenza, he was changed into a vampire by Dr. Carlisle Cullen after Edward's mother, Elizabeth, begged him to save Edward. Edward has the special ability to read minds, with the exception of Bella Swan's. Says Pattinson about the character he's playing:
When you read the book...it's like 'Edward Cullen was so beautiful I creamed myself.' He's the most ridiculous person who's so amazing at everything. I think a lot of actors tried to play that aspect. I just couldn't do that. And the more I read the script, the more I hated this guy, so that's how I played him, as a manic-depressive who hates himself. Plus, he's a 108 year-old virgin, so he's obviously got some issues there.
Robert Pattinson beat a number of aspiring actors for the role of Edward Cullen. Pattinson is best known for his supporting role in two Harry Potter films. He is also slated to play Salvador Dali in Little Ashes, to be released in 2009.
“I am ecstatic with Summit's choice for Edward. There are very few actors who can look both dangerous and beautiful at the same time, and even fewer who I can picture in my head as Edward. Robert Pattinson is going to be amazing, ” says Ms. Meyer on Pattinson.
A major factor in the movie’s success will be how realistically Kristen and Rob are able to play the two lead characters. Their on-screen chemistry could either disappoint and drive fans away or put them into a frenzy. In the book, Kristen’s character is considered to be its soul. Twilight fans who have read the book numerous times will have high expectations regarding how Bella should be portrayed on the big screen. It will be a first to watch a leading lady without too many ‘star’ qualities and complications. Finally, a realistic young female character with flaws just like any ordinary teen gets to be the heroine!
Adding spice, mysterious appeal and charm is Robert’s Edward Cullen. As Bella’s romantic partner, Pattinson needs to be both preternaturally suave and sexy while at the same time desperate and tragic as he examine his ways and atones for all the sins he has committed as a vampire.

Jacob Black (Played by Taylor Lautner): He is a close friend of Bella Swan, but is considered a rival by Edward. Says the author:
Jacob was my first experience with a character taking over—a minor character developing such roundness and life that I couldn't keep him locked inside a tiny role....From the very beginning, even when Jacob only appeared in chapter six of Twilight, he was so alive. I liked him. More than I should for such a small part.
Taylor has this charm and appeal that makes you forget he's just a young boy (he's 16 years old) who is on the verge of becoming one of today's most popular young actors. His role as Jacob Black is definitely his most challenging role to date and there are a lot of expectations that Taylor wil deliver an awesome performance. The young actor also provide updates on his acting career via his personal website.

Other major roles: While these are major roles, tMF deemed it unnecessary to add too much stuff, but a sort of introduction into their characters are enough. We also provided a few notes on who will play the characters.
Carlisle Cullen is Esme's husband and Edward, Rosalie, Emmett, Alice, and Jasper's adoptive father. His first appearance was in Twilight and his physical age is 23. Carlisle is described to look like a model; he has blond hair, stands at 6'2", and is slender but muscular. Carlisle theorizes that when a human is turned into a vampire, they will have an enhanced ability from their previous life. He believes he brought compassion from his human life. Carlisle has had centuries to perfect his medicinal talents, therefore making him an excellent doctor. Carlisle will be portrayed by Peter Facinelli. I'm not too familiar with Peter Facinelli to render an opinion, but this is a major role and requires someone who will show compassion, character and authenticity.
Esme Cullen is the wife of Carlisle and adoptive mother of Edward, Rosalie, Emmett, Alice, and Jasper. She enjoys restoring old houses and her physical age is 26. She has no special power, but has a strong ability to love passionately. Esme is described as being 5'6" with caramel-colored hair; she also has a heart-shaped face with dimples, and her figure is slender, but rounded and soft. Elizabeth Reaser will portray Esme in the upcoming film. Ms. Reaser is not only the perfect Esme, I think she'll give the role a unique voice and style.
Rosalie Lillian Hale is the adopted daughter of Esme and Carlisle, adoptive sister of Edward, Alice, and Jasper, and wife of Emmett. Her physical age is 18, and she was born in 1915 in Rochester, New York as the daughter of a banker. Rosalie is described as being astoundingly beautiful, even for a vampire; she is tall, statuesque, and has long, wavy blonde hair. As a human, Rosalie was described as a woman who had beauty, elegance, class, and eyes resembling violets. The talented and charming Nikki Reed will play Rosalie in the movie. One of the most promising young actresses, Nikki will rock!
Jasper Hale is the adopted son of Carlisle and Esme, adoptive brother of Edward, Emmett, and Rosalie, and husband of Alice. He was born in Texas and joined the Confederate States Army in 1861 to serve in the Civil War. Due to his extremely charismatic personality, he ascended through the ranks quickly. Jasper was turned into a vampire in 1863 by a vampire named Maria when he was 20 years old. As a vampire, he gained the ability to manipulate the emotions of those around him. Jasper will be played by Jackson Rathbone. The young actor is both charming and intelligent. While you might think he's all charm, but he has proven he can do more than just become the next poster boy. Aside from his most famous role on television's Beautiful People, he also did some impressive work for Disney 411 and interviewed big stars from Disney. While he has taken roles in commercial productions, he's known to be very serious about becoming a successful actor.
Emmett Cullen is Rosalie's husband, Carlisle and Esme's adopted son, and Edward, Alice, and Jasper's adoptive brother. Emmett is described as being tall, burly, extremely muscular, and, to most humans, the most intimidating of his adoptive siblings. He has slightly curly dark hair and dimpled cheeks. Emmett was 20 and living in Gatlinburg, Tennessee in 1935 when he was mauled by a bear. The injuries from the attack were severe and he was found by Rosalie, who had been hunting in the area at the time. Rosalie, who was reminded of her friend's baby having the same curls and innocent appearance, carried him over a hundred miles to Appalachia where Carlisle Cullen was, asking him to spare Emmett's life by turning him into a vampire. Kellan Lutz was cast to portray Emmett in the film version.
Alice Cullen is the adopted daughter of Carlisle and Esme, adoptive sister of Edward, Rosalie, and Emmett, and wife of Jasper. Alice is described as being petite and pixie-like at 4'10", with a graceful gait and hair that is short, spiky, and black. Her special ability is to see the future, an enhanced version of her ability to have premonitions as a human. However, her ability is limited; she is only able to see the outcome of a decision once it is made. Due to this, decisions made in the spur of the moment can not be foreseen. Ashley Greene will portray Alice in the upcoming film.
